Ulaanbaatar Mongolia

It's been weird for me to think that exactly 3 years ago today I bought a $500 car with the intention of driving it to Mongolia. Today I'm in the Go Help Office in Ulaanbaatar working as their CEO. I didn't get here in that $500 car, but then again I made good on my promise to get here eventually.

Funny how things turn out.

Today I'm familiarizing myself with the office, Ulaanbaatar, and answering some emails and generally catching up. I have some meetings scheduled next week and will be updating this blog frequently. I still have trouble believing that I'm actually here.

I got in to the airport at about 10pm local time and was met by Dulguun and her fiance. Dulguun as you probably know from previous posts is the project coordinator here in Ulaanbaatar. I didn't get to see much of Ulaanbaatar last night but this morning I got to see a little of it from the back off a taxi. But once I got to the office I got a nice panoramic view from the top floor. You can see the Blue Sky Building off the the left and the mountains off to the distance. I have a big list of things I need to get done while I'm here, but I'll also find the time to tour and show you the sights and sounds of Mongolia. At this moment, I'm fighting some 16 hours of jet lag and can feel my displaced circadian rhythm dragging me down. Hopefully the next posts will have something more interesting than photos of the office.
